Matrix Online Marketing and AnalysisSomething new Fangled has arrived at Matrix

Date Published: December 2007

Matrix has launched it’s all new Content Management System (CMS), under the project name ‘Fangle’.  The core of the CMS is a system to manage the pages of the website, and the structure of the site.  The initial tools that are in place also include a News system, and a flexible system for implementing CMS for ‘custom data’, which can be used to manage content for properties, cars, events and just about anything where the content has a structure.

The infrastructure of the CMS produces pages which are very well optimised for search engine performance, based on the naming of the pages and the content, basically allowing the client to automatically SEO their website as they insert the content.

The first website to launch using the CMS, is for Torque Transducer specialists Datum Electronics, who wanted to take more control over their website, and also to take a fresh look at the way the website was optimised for search engines.

Matrix Online Marketing and AnalysisMatrix Launch New Online Marketing Packages

Date Published: October 2007

In an increasingly competitive online market, any website left untouched will gradually lose it's importance in the eyes of the search engines. This loss of importance will cause your site to slip down the rankings with the knock on effect of less traffic and therefore less sales or enquiries.

For several years now Matrix has been aware of the importance of optimising websites for search engines and have carried out optimisation work with our existing clients. More recently we've formalised our online marketing offerings into four flexible packages to suit every type of online business activity.

The first new client to come to Matrix to take up one of our promotion packages is the Royal Hotel in Ventnor. The Royal is one of the Premier Isle of Wight Hotels and are seeking to have that status reflected in the search engine results. Through a combination of regular website updates, link building, email marketing and pay per click (PPC) advertising; Matrix's aim is to help them achieve this.

Isle of Wigth FestivalFestival Season starts with a bang

Date Published: February 2007

Isle of Wight Festival organisers Solo announced the first acts of their ‘Super Massive’ line up for the 2007 festival, by announcing 12 acts for the June event, including Friday and Saturday headliners Snow Patrol and Muse.  Other acts on the bill are Kasabian, Keane, Amy Winehouse, Wolfmother, The Feeling, The Fratellis, Ash, Paolo Nutini, Arno Carstens and James Morrison.

The public response to the announcement and tickets going on sale this week has been extraordinary, with ticket demand being higher than any of the previous years since the festival made it’s comeback.  Thursday saw the general release of tickets through ticket agency websites, some of which seemed to struggle under the weight of traffic.

Matrix launched the new Isle of Wight festival community website this year and it has served up an incredible 2 million+ page views this week alone as fans clamor for ticket information, and to chat about the line-up.

Look out for the re-launch of the Flash version of the website in coming weeks.
