Setting up Outlook Express
Start Outlook Express
Select the Tools menu then the Accounts option
Select the Mail tabsheet (this may already be selected)
Click Add and select Mail...
Enter your name then click Next >
Enter your email address then click Next >
Enter the POP3 and SMTP server names provided to you by Matrix e-Business, then click Next
Enter the Account name and Password provided to you by Matrix e-Business, then click Next >
Click Finish - you will return to the Internet Accounts window
Highlight the account you have just set up and click Properties
Click on the Servers tabsheet
Select My server requires authentication
Click OK
Click Close in the Internet Accounts window
Your account has now been set up!
Setting up Outlook 2000
Start Outlook 2000
Select the Tools menu then the Accounts option
Select the Mail tabsheet (this may already be selected)
Click Add and select Mail...
Enter your name then click Next >
Enter your email address then click Next >
Enter the POP3 and SMTP server names provided to you by Matrix e-Business, then click Next >
Enter the Account name and Password provided to you by Matrix e-Business, then click Next >
Click Finish - you will return to the Internet Accounts window
Highlight the account you have just set up and click Properties
Click on the Servers tabsheet
Select My server requires authentication
Click OK
Click Close in the Internet Accounts window
Your account has now been set up!
Setting up Outlook 2003
Start Outlook 2003
From Outlook 2003, click on the Tools menu and select Options.
Tip: If you are unable to see Options click on the double arrow at the bottom to expand the list.
Set up an email account
From the Options panel, select the Mail Setup tab
In the 'E-mail account field' click on E-mail Accounts
Choose the option Add a new e-mail account and click on Next

Choose the POP3 option and click on Next

From the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) enter the information below:

Your Name: eg - John Smith
-
E-mail address: eg - mail@yourname.co.uk

Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.yourname.co.uk
-
Outgoing mail server (smtp): smtp.yourname.co.uk
-
User Name: eg - username
-
Password: eg - PaSsWoRd
Once entered, click on More Settings and choose the Outgoing Server tab.
Select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication tick box and click OK.
